Brrrrr!

Help me, I've fallen and I can't get up!

So recently we went back to Colorado to introduce Tyler to the snow. We had read about it, we had talked about it, but it was time to finally see, taste and feel the cold stuff for ourselves! Colorado has been getting a TON of snow this winter, but of course when we got there it was just cold and windy - yuck! Finally though, 3 days into our trip, it started to snow. We got about 5 inches during that storm and it lasted a day. Long enough to take Tyler on a sled ride through the neighborhood, make snowballs, decide that it didn't taste very good without syrup on it and that it was very, very, very cold and hard to get up and walk around in once you've fallen down. If pressed, I suspect Tyler would say he prefers the sand and the beach to the snow, but that's because less clothes and equipment are needed!
Get this show on the road, woman! I'm not gonna sit here all day!

So, what else is there to do when you're a munchkin in a strange house with none of your toys around? Well, we....

got to hang with our friends Katie and Julie...

And we learned to play the piano...

And we spent more than our fair share of time at the malls around Nana's house. Here Tyler learns what it feels like to bet eaten by a giant caterpillar and below, he learns to drive a rocket while being asked inane questions by Mama and Nana.

But what we liked the best, was the Apex Recreational Center. It has a pool built for munchkins that isn't deeper than 1.5 feet in the middle, has fountains all along the perimeter and tons of gears and wheels that when pulled cause some sort of crazy water to squirt from a spicket or hose. Once we discovered this place, we went back every day! Look out, it's Tyler Cousteau!

Even Kookie and Grandpa got in the pool. They took Tyler into the big person pool and the hot tub, too! Our trip to Colorado was a lot of fun. Tyler learned about the snow, learned to co-habitat with two huge Golden Retrievers, learned the word "ow", got to play the game of pool and in the pool. We're all looking forward to going back!
